The Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis lightweight bout is one of the most anticipated matchups in the sport. Both boxers are the top contenders in the lightweight division. This bout is an opportunity for the world to see the better fighter among the two prevail. The bout is expected to be a sensational one between the two undefeated stars. The fight’s winner will reportedly become the number one contender in the lightweight division. With less than four weeks left for the fight, and among all the excitement for this electrifying clash of these two titans, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions and Canelo Alvarez seem to have struck a common ground for the fight.
Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, took to Twitter to show his agreement with the undisputed champ’s claims about the fight.

Leonard Ellerbe agrees with Canelo Alvarez
Ellerbe took to Twitter to display his agreement with the ‘Cinnamon’ on an important question ahead of the Garcia and Davis fight. The 28-year-old Baltimore hard hitter chose to step out of his partnership with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mayweather promotions. But, his former promoter seems to still have affection and support for the boxing prodigy.
Ellerbe posted a video of Canelo Alvarez announcing his prediction for the upcoming lightweight bout. Alvarez is seen saying, “Tank is one of my favorites.” The Mexican further described the characteristics of the former lightweight champ, which he likes. He said, “He’s strong, He’s smart, He’s very confident, and he has a lot of talent. ” This is not the first time Alvarez weighed in on the lightweight bout. The undisputed champion also revealed what Garcia is missing in this fight against ‘Tank.’

Resharing this video of Alvarez, Ellerbe added, “Even Canelo knows, real recognizes real. 22 Apr DavisvsGarcia.” Ellerbe has been playing a pivotal role in promoting the fight for his former protege. The world will tune in to find who walks out of the ring with glory. It is interesting to not that ‘KingRy’ and ‘Cinnamon’ were once teammates.
What happened between Canelo Alvarez and Ryan Garica?
In 2018, Ryan Garcia joined hands with Canelo Alvarez and decided to join his team to take his training to the next level. At Alvarez’s gym, ‘KingRy’ was training under Eddy Reynoso, Canelo’s trainer. But the 25-year-old decided to part ways with the team after he thought that they weren’t paying much attention to him. In an Interview with ESNEWS, at his press conference for the Davis fight, Garcia cleared the air around him and Alvarez.

This separation pointed many fingers at Garcia and Alvarez’s relationship, with people assuming the presence of ‘bad blood’ between the two. But all of the calls were just rumors, and Garcia denied such claims and said that he has nothing but love for the Super-Middleweight champ.
