Shields offers a conclusive thought. “And I think that it’ll be a unanimous decision for Devin.” With this, she wraps her analysis. Shields isn’t the only one who spoke about the bout, Abdullah Mason, who has sparred Devin, also spoke about it.

Abdullah Mason, sharing his insights on the highly anticipated Garcia-Haney fight, emphasized the crucial role of focus. “Whoever [is] more focused” will emerge victorious, he stated, highlighting the equal prowess both fighters demonstrated in their amateur days. “They went three and three in the amateur, although the pros [are] different. So, you can get it at 50/50,” Mason reflected.
Despite the difficulty in predicting a clear winner, Mason shared his current observation: “I could say right now, from what I’m seeing off of social media, you can never judge off that, but I’m seeing Devin looking a little more focused right now.” His statement, “Whoever [is] more focused on outside of the ring, so I think Devin, he focused right now,” leans towards Haney as the fighter with the edge in concentration.
