Demetrius Andrade backed up his pre-fight predictions. The unbeaten WBO middleweight champion took on the Irishman Jason Quigley and defended his title for the fifth time. Andrade has held the belt for the past three years and does not intend on giving it up anytime soon.
The fight started off pretty slow, with both fighters sizing each other up. Neither of them looked to take the charge early on as they kept pawing at each other for a solid minute. Andrade then let off a flurry of punches that Quigley evaded pretty easily and countered with a straight right hand to the body. Quigley clipped Andrade again with another straight right hand.
