Despite Earning Over $10 Million, Creed 2 Is Sylvester Stallone’s Least Favorite Movie He Ever Acted In

If boxing movies were epics, the ‘Rocky’ series would undoubtedly take the place of Odessey. In fact, the main character of the series, Rocky Balboa, played by Hollywood superstar, Sylvester Stallone, is widely regarded as a demigod among onscreen boxers. The Creed series, which branched out of the ‘Rocky’ series, saw Stallone reprising the role of the iconic boxer. It was recently reported that he will not be coming back as Balboa in the third installment of the series. Meanwhile, Stallone opened up about his experience acting in Creed 2.

Stallone was a guest on the ‘UNWAXED’ Podcast. Notably, the podcast is hosted by his daughters Sistine and Sophia Rose Stallone. Moreover, it should be mentioned that Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, was also present for the episode.

The episode saw Stallone and his wife talk about their relationship. And also about Stallone’s career in Hollywood and the ‘Rocky’ series.

Sylvester Stallone hated acting in Creed 2

During the episode, his daughters did not hold back from asking him about the movies he did not have fond memories of starring in. And Sophia Stallone went on to ask her parents, “Sly, what was your least favorite movie to act in? And mom what was your least favorite movie he has acted in?”

In response, Stallone exclaimed, “Creed 2.”

His family was taken aback by his response. And asked him why he thought so. Stallone further explained, “Long story. But that’s one and that’s not for it because it was just a bad time. I realized Rocky was ending, just like it was very emotional.”

Creed 2 was the best film yet in the Creed series. It was reported that the movie earned over $100 million at the box office. Moreover, Stallone earned USD 10 million for the movie, as reported by Variety. Notably, Creed 3 is set to be released on March 2023, with Stallone not being a part of the movie. It is reported that boxers like Canelo Alvarez will be making an appearance in the movie.
