Despite being months away from the Ryan Garcia fight, Devin Haney has scoped in on another opponent for his next fight! It’s none other than the IBF super lightweight champion Subriel Matias. However, that’s not all! The undefeated boxer is aiming to unify the belts in super lightweight like he did in lightweight.
In a recent tweet, the WBC super lightweight champion claimed, “At first I didn’t plan [to].. but now. Yes, I want undisputed.” What’s more, Haney has even entertained a future fight against Teofimo Lopez for the WBO title. So, all that will be left is the WBA title, which Rolly Romero currently has. Regardless, Haney’s tweet today suggests Matias might be the first challenge he will face in his quest to become undisputed at 140.
