As far as boxing is concerned, challenges and callouts are commonplace. However, every now and then, one of these challenges captures the public attention like no other. Devin Haney will go toe-to-toe with Regis Prograis on December 9. However, there are rumors of Floyd Mayweather and Mikey Garcia getting inside the ring in an exhibition match on the same date. It creates a problem for Haney’s corner, as Floyd has historically drawn the public to his fights effortlessly.

Furthermore, the situation escalated further when Devin Haney’s father boldly challenged Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. However, not in the same way one might think! In a recent interview with AKHi TV, Bill Haney responded to the two fights potentially happening on the same date, which may divide the revenue. It prompted Bill to issue a challenge to Floyd Mayweather to fight on the same night as his son Devin.

Father of Devin Haney isn’t worried about the dates clashing

During the interview, the reporter questions Bill about his thoughts on the potential Mayweather vs. Garcia fight clashing with his son’s fight. Bill aggressively responds by asserting that Mayweather doesn’t want to compete with Haney. “I guarantee you he [Floyd Mayweather] don’t want to run up against no mother f***ing Devin Haney,” said Bill.

He went on to claim that if the fight happened on the same day, it was going to affect Mayweather rather than his son’s fight. “I’mma tell you, it’s going to affect him in a way that it’s going to be different, you know what I mean,” said Bill. Haney’s father even suggested his son was doing much better than Floyd Mayweather when ‘Money’ was his son’s age. “I’m telling y’all, Devin is doing at 24 what Floyd wasn’t doing at 24,” said Haney’s father. In addition, his father claimed they are not worried about anyone taking the same date because people know what is better.

Robert Garcia weighs in on potential fight between Floyd and Mikey

Floyd Mayweather last entered the ring to face Logan Paul in an exhibition fight, so there was no winner announced. However, according to CompuBox punch stats, Floyd landed a higher number of punches. Thus, the rumors of Floyd entering the ring against Mikey Garcia excited the boxing world.
