Dillian Whyte Feels Tyson Fury has ‘F***ed Up’ the Heavyweight Division

The prime heavyweights, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua were all set to enter a massive collision for the undisputed title. But because of some external factors, the fight between the two British warriors fell through. As a result, ‘The Gypsy King’ got himself aligned for a trilogy with his rival, Deontay Wilder. This heavy contest was set to take place on July 24th. However, as the Brit and his team members tested positive, the promoters pushed the bout to October.
Following the events over the past few months, the WBC interim heavyweight champ, Dillian Whyte, has given his take on the same. He went all out against Tyson Fury while speaking to SunSport.
He said, “Tyson Fury has f***ed the entire heavyweight scene and the whole sport is struggling because of it. Losing AJ vs Fury f***ed boxing because casual fans just see big fights not happening and people at the top lying to them or fighting bums instead.” (h/t Michael Benson).

Right after his win over Deontay Wilder in February 2020, the only fight that interested Fury was an undisputed encounter against Joshua. Also, ‘The Gypsy King’ frequently asserted his wish to fight ‘AJ’.
But as ‘The Bronze Bomber’ poured cold water on this matchup, the already messed up heavyweight division got more complicated. However, as Fury is in contention to face Wilder again on October 9th, things seem to be a bit on track now.
This fight is vital to every heavyweight stalwart as it has the potential to chart a course for many more fighters who want to reach the top.
