The scorecards of Canelo Alvarez vs. John Ryder are now public. On the 6th of May, in his hometown, Canelo Alvarez defended his undisputed status against John Ryder inside the ring. Although Alvarez won, Ryder displayed heart and fought till the final bell. Following the end of the fight, Ryder even declared that Alvarez was past his best and on the decline. While Alvarez busted Ryder’s nose, there were moments when Ryder was able to land some of his shots at Alvarez.
Ahead of the fight, Alvarez emphasized he would make history. However, a number of fans felt he delivered an underwhelming performance against Ryder. Before the fight against Ryder, Alvarez declared that he would rematch Dmitry Bivol at 175 lbs. However, Bivol argued he would only fight Canelo at 168 lbs., and that too for the undisputed status. Following Alavrez’s latest performance, a number of fans doubted Alvarez being able to avenge his loss against Bivol in their potential rematch.

While the Mexican boxer demands the same terms as the first fight, Bivol, who lacks motivation, is adamant about not facing Alvarez at 175 lbs. once again. Other than the rematch with Bivol, the boxing world has been desiring to see Alvarez square off against David Benavidez.
