Ryan Garcia just slammed Jake Paul after his recent victory. He wants to put the American YouTuber-turned-prizefighter into the dust while the latter continues to make strides in the boxing world. But why? ‘KingRy’ wants to ensure his compatriot pays for “disrespecting” his sport.

‘The Problem Child’ pulled off another stellar victory as his punches left Ryan Bourland helpless in a corner. The referee had to come to Bourland’s rescue to bail him out of the heavy punishment. As a result, Paul bagged a first-round KO and improved his record to 9-1. However, it seems his performance didn’t sit too well with Garcia, who now wants to correct his wrong of introducing him to boxing.

Garcia, 25, turned to his X handle and declared his intention to derail the Jake Paul hype train. He then asked Paul to hit him up with a call. He wrote, “Okay enough, it’s on I’m going to have to do this! I’m going to end this JAKE PAUL BOXING THING. BRING IT ON JAKE IM DEAD F*CKING SERIOUS F*CK YOU! HIT MY TEAM UP.”

Similarly, he dropped a voice note on his handle, which Michael Benson shared later on. In it, Garcia can be heard saying, “I feel so f***ing bad for introducing Jake Paul to boxing. He’s disrespecting my sport. Call my team Jake, f*** you.”

He has expressed his desire to sit on top of the boxing world and eventually become a world champion within 5 years. To achieve his ambition, the 27-year-old has decided to beef up his resume and gain experience by pitting himself against professional and tougher opponents.

Meanwhile, it appears to be a blank shot by Garcia, at 24-1, who is slated to face Devin Haney on April 20 with Haney’s WBC super lightweight crown on the line. He has his hands full and might not have the time and opportunity to teach Paul a lesson, irrespective of how strong his words are.

The words of Jeremy Lesniak, "It's not about learning to fight, it's about learning to be better through the expression of action" resonated with the interest I had in combat sports.
