In a recent interview with FightHype.com, Mayweather stated, “Shakur Stevenson is a hell of a fighter, Devin Haney is a hell of a fighter right. But guess what, if TopRank has Devin Haney and they got Shakur Stevens, then they need to fight each other. Don’t worry about Tank remember, everybody’s saying Tank ain’t doing, he’s not this, he’s not that. Tank don’t have this belt, he don’t have that belt, different things.”

Floyd Mayweather further added, “If that’s true then guess what, don’t worry about Tank. Let Tank do what he doing. Tank got to worry about nothing, as long as Tank with Floyd and Al, Tank will always live good.”

Devin Haney responds about him fighting Shakur Stevenson
Haney recently took the boxing world by storm as he defeated the former Australian champion, George Kambosos Jr; on June 5. The Marvel Stadium in Melbourne was on fire as the two squared off inside the ring. Eventually, a 23-year-old Haney emerged as the four-belt undisputed lightweight champion without his father or trainer by his side.

When quizzed about his fight with Stevenson, Haney stated, “Of course, that is a huge fight to be made one day.” He further mentioned that Stevenson and he are really good friends, but they could make the fight happen for the fans.

Apparently, the lightweight division is currently flooded with numerous exceptional fighters. Haney, Tank Davis, and Stevenson are some of them. The coming years would result in a number of extraordinary fights.
