The undefeated legend, Floyd Mayweather, will be back to entertain the boxing fans on May 14. A few days before his exhibition match, he proves his legacy better than the legendary boxers like Julio César Chávez and Sugar Ray Robinson, by stating bold facts.

In a recent interview with FightHype, he made a bold claim to the criticizers and jealous people defaming his career by comparing it with other legends.

He said, “ Chávez was 89 and 0. But within 50 fights, Chávez at 100 and some fights, and within his 100 and some fights, I beat more champions than Chávez beat in his illustrious career. I beat more fighters in 50 fights. I mean, I mean not just fighters, I beat more champions than he beat in a hundred and some fights.

Mayweather compares his statistics to Julio César Chávez when Chávez was 89 -0. He states he defeated more champions than Chávez did in his career. 

While comparing himself with Sugar Ray Robinson, he added, “And they talk about Sugar Ray Robinson. Once again, I beat more champions than Sugar Ray Robinson beat in his illustrious career and the list goes on and on.”

Mayweather proves himself better than the legend Sugar Ray Robinson. He gives the same reason while comparing his 50-0-0 record to that of Sugar Ray Robinson’s record of 174-19-6.

 The legacy of Floyd Mayweather 

Floyd Mayweather is still the undefeated boxer, and he ruled the ring for more than two decades of his career. Similarly, he defeated many champions throughout it his career.

Back in 2013, Mayweather faced the young and energetic Canelo Alvarez, who is the current undefeated super middleweight champion.
