Floyd Mayweather Promises to Develop the Sport of Boxing in Nigeria, Here’s How

Floyd Mayweather is a synonym for the sport of boxing. The former five-weight division champ has dedicated his entire life to enriching his skills and taking the sport to its pinnacle. ‘The Pretty Boy’ not only showcased his charisma in the ring but also contributed to the sport phenomenally from outside the ring as well. In the course, the 45-year-old champ took to the third-world country, Nigeria.

In Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, Floyd Mayweather had a press conference ahead of his much-awaited exhibition bout. While promoting his upcoming event, ‘The Best Ever’ made several promises to Nigerian folk to improve the condition of boxing in their country.

Undoubtedly, Nigeria is a mine of talent. They have given several combat sports icons in recent years. And Mayweather is well acquainted with the fact that if he will provide more opportunities, then the Nigerian boxing fraternity has the potential to produce world champions.

The undefeated warrior claimed he has plans with the Nigeria Boxing Federation NBF. He also talked about organizing boxing camps in the country. However, he has clarified that these are big plans and will take some time.

Upcoming bout of Floyd Mayweather

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is all set to return to the ring for yet another exhibition bout. The last he took to lacing gloves was against the YouTuber turned boxer, Logan Paul.

The bout turned out to be a massive success. However, there is something special about his upcoming pretty hyped event. The exciting anticipation with dangerous Don Moore will land on a literal helicopter landing pad in Dubai.

Billed as “The Global Titans Fight Series”, the exhibition matchup will come to fruition on May 14.

Though it is an exhibition bout, it is going to be an interesting clash. The two undefeated pugilists will bring in some action for the first time in Dubai. Mayweather went to Nigeria to promote this event only.
