WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently announced his retirement from boxing after his emphatic win over Dillian Whyte. However, there were many rumors surrounding his return to boxing. The Gypsy King proved the rumors to be true after he called out fellow British boxer Dereck Chisora for his comeback fight.

This was not all, as Fury also announced that he would get a new trainer for this fight. Consequently, he chose former Commonwealth champion, Isac Lowe, for the job and announced it on social media.

He also stated that he made this fight to become the first heavyweight champion in the history of boxing to have competed in two trilogies. Many fans felt that Lowe was a splendid choice for Fury’s coach. However, Fury’s former trainer SugarHill Steward did not share the same view as he took a dig at the heavyweight champion and his new coach.
SugarHill Steward comments on Tyson Fury getting a new coach
In the same video that Fury posted, Steward came out and sarcastically wished him good luck, “Good luck with that“. He wrote along with a facepalm emoji.

The Gypsy King’s former coach didn’t seem too impressed with Fury’s new coach and it looks like there might be some animosity rising between the two.

Fury appointed Steward as his head coach back in 2019 to help him prepare for his fights against Deontay Wilder. This proved to be the right choice for Fury as he beat Wilder twice under Steward. This also resulted in Steward getting his first title defense as a coach.

Although Steward was still with Fury for the Dillian Whyte bout, he played a much smaller role. And now it looks like The Gypsy King has finally parted ways with his former coach, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
