Boxing legend Mike Tyson recently made headlines for a controversial parenting decision. Mike Tyson reveals why he wanted his children to see where he grew up
In a recent appearance on the PDB podcast, Iron Mike claimed that he wanted his children to see where he grew up. His intentions were to provide a firsthand understanding of the difficulties he encountered and to instill resilience and toughness in his child.
“If they didn’t have that opportunity, I would want them to be in public school. You know, we were struggling for the money, but no, we wanted them to go and experience that. I want my kids to experience where I lived. I wanted to take them to Brownsville Brooklyn, let them have pizza, you know, let them go to the park,” he said.
However, this certainly did not have the desired outcome as Tyson’s kid was scared to death following an incident where Iron Mike took his son to a deserted apartment in his hometown.
