Super welterweight champions, Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano, have some unfinished business, especially after the controversial split-decision draw in their recent title unification fight.
Going till the final bell against each other, both men witnessed their prime moments in the ring. However, it didn’t fetch them the victory and the 154 lbs division is yet to see its first-ever undisputed unified world champion.
While Castano seems eager to rematch ‘Iron Man’, he believes Charlo may avoid it for the time. Although the Argentine boxer sees it happening, an immediate rematch doesn’t seem to take place anytime soon. Brian Castano connected with ESPN Deportes to shed light on the current scenario.

He said, “I do not see much desire [from Charlo] to do a rematch, I think he wants to go in another direction. I want to unify, but when they told him about the rematch he changed the question, he said something else. I think he is going to wait a little while, take another fight and then fight with me. For me, my next fight is the rematch, that is what I want.” (H/T:- Boxing Scene)
Meanwhile, Jermell Charlo looked vexed after the official announcement of his fight against Brian Castano. Following a gruesome scrap, Charlo raised his hand after the final bell and seemed confident about bagging the win. He even voiced his disapproval towards the official results and had claimed the win.
