Mike Tyson loves to listen to music. In fact, ‘Kid Dynamite’ has a special attachment to hip-hop and ‘freestyling’. In the latest episode of HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion of the world was joined by rapper Styles P. Speaking of music, Styles P recommended a few artists to whom Mike should be listening.

Over the years, various artists made allusions to Mike Tyson in verses of their own with heavyweight lyrics. Similarly, Tyson himself openly acknowledged a list of his favorite rappers of all time. Styles P, who was aware of Mike’s love for hip-hop music, made him listen to Symba known for his ability to freestyle.

Hearing one of Symba’s tracks, Tyson said, “Oh, he’s blazing! It’s amazing.” As Styles P had initially thought, Tyson appreciated Symba and sincerely liked his music. In fact, the former world champion liked Symba’s music to such an extent that he immediately asked someone to put Symba’s tracks on his phone in front of both Martinez and P.

“Hey, put him on my phone, mama. Hey, mama put that on my phone,” implored an excited and approbative Mike.

Several times Tyson himself was referred to in hip-hop music. Nas, Dr. Dre, Big Daddy Kane, Lil Wayne, and even Bun B spit some lyrics that referred to Mike. Here is a brief tour of Mike Tyson in the community of ‘rapping’.

Artist Spoonie G dedicated an entire song to Mike Tyson. One of Tyson’s heroes was Muhammad Ali. Although critics and journalists made comparisons, Tyson never expressed the desire to be on the same page as Ali. Spoonie G, acknowledging the difference between Tyson and Ali, penned the following in admiration for the unique Mike:
