Mayweather was recently left shattered by the loss of an integral part of ‘The Money Team’, his assistant, Marikit ‘Kitchie’ Laurico. Meanwhile, Mayweather’s children channeled their father in paying tribute to the late Kitchie.

Kitchie passed away on March 31, 2023. According to reports, she mentioned that she was feeling unwell during a recent trip to Dubai before her passing. Moreover, there were also claims that the cause of her death was a heart attack. She had a special place in the hearts of the Mayweather family.
Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna Mayweather, used an excerpt from one of her father’s podcast appearances while voicing her grief. Notably, Mayweather spoke about the uncertainty of life when he appeared as a guest on the Pivot podcast. He said, “What God got in store, we can’t go against it. Because, when God calls your number, that’s what it is. My number can get called tomorrow.”

He further added, “I had a great life, I can’t cry, I can’t complain. But, every day, the worries that I had.” Pivot posted this excerpt as a tribute to Kitchie. ‘Yaya’ also reshared this as an Instagram Story in her honor. Moreover, the post was also shared by her sister Jirah Mayweather.
Floyd Mayweather Jr’s daughter shared more tributes
Kitchie was Mayweather’s assistant for over 10 years and was 47 years old at the time of her passing. Moreover, she was a quintessential part of his children’s lives and was extremely close to them.

‘Yaya’ shared a series of photographs, reminiscing her memories with Kitchie. In the caption, she mentioned that her heart is heavy at her passing. Additionally, she also revealed that Kitchie was not just Mayweather’s assistant. But, was considered a member of their family.
