WBC Interim heavyweight champion and mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte seems unfazed with all the bold claims made by WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury regarding a potential fight between them. Although Fury will remain a favorite in the matchup, Whyte’s knockout power will always be a threat. However, the fight between champion and mandatory is still not official.

A frustrated Tyson Fury had already sent a stern warning to the heavyweight elites, including Dillian Whyte. In response, Dillian Whyte wrote, “I just want f***ing war. That’s all I want is to go to war with the best ‘The Gypsy King’, ‘Anthony Joshua’”

However, AJ, who is in talks to rematch Oleksandr Usyk for his lost heavyweight belts, is still closer to a title shot than Dillian Whyte.

Dillian Whyte can soon get a crack at the best

Having fought Joshua in the past, the pair can rematch somewhere down the line. But the current scenario doesn’t validate an immediate matchup between them. That said, Tyson Fury’s promoter Bob Arum had already given a green signal to Whyte vs Fury.

It seems Whyte was unhappy with the reported 80/20 purse that he was offered. However, Arum was open to negotiations.
