“I Truly Believe I Could Beat Everybody”: Rolly Romero Dares to Dance With Errol Spence Jr. Despite Sparring Knockout

It’s a talk of the ancients now as Rolly Romero called out Errol Spence Jr. long ago back in July 2022. This was after he had lost tremendously against ‘Tank’ Davis in May of the same year. Romero announced he is going to move up to the 147-pound division and compete with Spence Jr. But that challenge did not get any solid response from the latter. Now, Errol Spence Jr. is scheduled to face Keith Thurman in April. In a recent interview with FightHype, Romero talked about the possibility of his fight against ‘The Truth’ happening sometime in the future.

Rolly Romero has been popping up in the trends of the boxing world quite a lot. Recently, a leaked sparring video made rounds on the internet, where it could be seen that J’Hon Ingram knocked out Romero during a training session. The video went viral as soon as it touched the doorsteps of the internet, as fans immediately made a connection between this KO with the last KO of Romero at the hands of Gervonta Davis. And Romero also penned his first message after the sparring video leak.

Romero wanted the next fight of Spence Jr. to be against him, while Spence Jr. wanted Terrence Crawford as his opponent. Well now in 2023, both the fights haven’t taken place, instead, the fans get to see an unexpected clash between Errol Spence Jr. and Keith Thurman in April. And around the same time, Romero’s also set to take on WBA super-lightweight champion, Alberto Puello.

Romero hasn’t lost any hope, as he still believes that a fight between him and Spence Jr. will definitely take place. If not now, then definitely sometime in the future. In a recent interview with FightHype, Romero talks about his fight against Errol Spence Jr. Romero simply said, “I’m not worried it’ll happen. I know it will happen.” He’s still positive about the potential fight in the 147-pound division.

Romero wants to fight everybody

Romero has also been trying to get a rematch against Davis. He certainly believes that he can beat ‘Tank’ if he got another chance to take him on. Not only that, but he also stated that he wants to fight everybody at least once, as he truly believes he could beat them all.

Romero said, “I mean I am one of the few fighters that when I when I when I say something I make that sh*t happen.” He further continued, “Honesty I might be the only damn fighter that f**king once actually fight everybody and doesn’t give a fuck so yeah. But you know it’s because I truly believe I could beat everybody.”
