Days after the ‘Battle of the Baddest’ between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury, two-time undisputed champion Claressa Shields expressed what she honestly thought about ‘The Predator’ vs. ‘The Gypsy King.’ Like others, Shields was impressed by Ngannou’s skills. As a result, ‘T-Rex’ regretted that she did not see the fight live. On the other hand, in addition to praising Ngannou, the 28-year-old criticized Fury.

Although Fury won, ‘T-Rex’ felt ‘The Gypsy King’ did not train well for the bout. However, fascinated by Ngannou’s understanding of boxing, Shields announced that she would like to fight on the same card as ‘The Predator’ soon. Tyson about to knock Francis out in three rounds – this is what I thought in my head,” Shields continued. However, contrary to her expectations, Ngannou knocked down ‘The Gypsy King.’ “And then, I’m watching the fight at home and I see that Francis Ngannou did his big one. Like he dropped Tyson Fury,” added Shields. In addition, she felt Fury’s timing was off. “Tyson Fury’s timing was off. He wasn’t really like that ready for the fight. It was insane. I did not expect to see that. I was just so shocked,” she stated.

Along these lines, Shields even expressed her desire to fight on the same card as Francis Ngannou.

Shields to be on the same card as Ngannou

After Francis Ngannou defeated Tyson Fury, the former’s team expressed interest in Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. While Wilder wishes to face Ngannou, the latter would like to face ‘AJ’ first should the bout happen. In this context, Eddie Hearn, the promoter of ‘AJ’ recently announced that he talked to team Ngannou for a possible bout with AJ on December 23.
