Female Women’s boxing has gained popularity in the modern era. Claressa Shields is one such female boxer who has transcended the sport. She has been the former world champion of three different weight divisions and has also been the undisputed lightweight world champion. She does not shy away from speaking her mind. Notably, Shields transitioned to the sport of MMA and has been competing in PFL since 2021.
Evident to say, her accolades prove that she is a force to be reckoned with. To the extent, that she is confident in beating any boxer put in front of her. Recently, on Twitter, she and Sunny Edwards exchanged some words.

Claressa Shields’ prediction makes Sunny Edwards furious
Edwards is a young, 27-year-old prospect. He is the current IBF flyweight champion and has been since 2021. Jesse Rodriguez is also one such young prospect who recently fought and had an impressive victory this Saturday. IFL TV took to Twitter to ask the fans how they see a potential fight between Edwards and Rodriguez. The fans shared their thoughts and opinions. However, Sheilds did not shy away from sharing her two pieces on this potential bout. She responded to the Tweet and stated, “RODRIGUEZ STOPS HIM IN 8”.

This did not sit well with the featherweight world champion. He responded by calling out the female boxer. He stated, “If he doesn’t do I get to take you out?”

Shields then hit back with her own. She simply stated, “You ain’t Got a Chance Sunny boy”.

Evident to say, the two are no fans of each other. Although, it is safe to say that Edwards vs Rodriguez will certainly be a highly entertaining bout.
Shields opens up about her relationship status, and Edwards reacts
Shields is not interested in sharing her romantic life publicly. However, in a Tweet, she responded to all the people who ask her about her marital status. She stated, “I never knew so many ppl cared about if I was single, engaged, or whatever. Whatever I am Is my business and if I ain’t checking for you, don’t check for me. I ain’t available still. Run with that!”
