Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua might finally put all the anticipation and speculation to rest by stepping into the ring together. Joshua and Wilder are set to share the spotlight in Saudi Arabia on December 23. Joshua will take on Otto Wallin and Wilder will battle Joseph Parker on the same bill.
Fans had thought the December fight was the closest thing they would be provided as an alternative to the two heavyweights clashing head-on. However, Wilder has revealed that he is in talks with Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, about making a bout between the two possible. There is only one condition that threatens it.

Wilder had earlier claimed that Joshua denied a fight even after Wilder agreed to a $50 million deal. According to Wilder, it was all thanks to Joshua’s team. Now, after having spoken to Hearn about a potential match, he seems a bit more optimistic. As the two get down in Riyadh, it is imperative that they discuss such a possibility with their ministry first.
“But Eddie was saying he talked to His Excellency – Hearn told me if we both win, the fight’s gonna be on. So I’m looking forward to finally getting Joshua in the ring. Win, lose, or draw, this is what it’s all about,” said Wilder to 78SportsTV.

Wilder has achieved numerous milestones. However, the prospect of holding all four major titles is what excites him for the future. The initial step towards this goal involves securing victory in Saudi Arabia. This is followed by a strategic plan to maintain activity and position himself for world titles.
However, the current landscape sees all the major belts held by Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, who are gearing up for a clash in February to determine the undisputed champion – a title that Wilder ardently desires. “Most of my accomplishments have been set in stone, but to add undisputed heavyweight champion to that is like the icing on the cake,” said the Bronze Bomber.
