“I’m Hoping to Get to 25!”: Claressa Shields Responds to Amanda Serrano’s 50th Professional Fight Milestone Announcement

At 35, Amanda Serrano boasts a 46-2-1 record with 30 knockouts across seven weight divisions. Yet, she remains a puzzle of contradictions. Taking to Twitter, Serrano highlighted, “I’m heading towards my 50th professional boxing match. Out of those my last 6 have been w/my new team @MostVpromotions. Meaning the other over 43 were nightmares to get & no money in most. I fought for as low as a few grand for some titles.”

She pointed out how great was it that MVP reached out to her in her heartfelt message. She wrote, “NEVER ONCE did I take to social media to attack Opponents or Promoters, eventually I was blessed & They reached out to me. I guess that’s why today I call the shots in my career & make the most money.” In a reflective tone, she shared a nugget of wisdom: “WHATS FOR YOU WILL COME! ” Ending on a positive note, she sent blessings to all.

The bout against Cruz wasn’t just another match; it was a spectacle. Despite Cruz’s persistent bleeding, both fighters aggressively exchanged punches throughout the match. In the end, Serrano clinched a hard-fought victory by unanimous decision. Interestingly, recently their fight was awarded as the winner of the Female Fight of the Year.

Acknowledging the fierce battle, Serrano expressed gratitude to Cruz on social media, stating, “We went out there & did what we said we were coming to do & that was to Fight! For this one we both made our countries proud. After 1900+ punches in a 10×2 fight it didn’t matter the decision. We both did what we had to do ‘Show the world we belonged in the big stage’.”
