“I’m Not With This”: Boxing Fans Go Berserk as Charlie Edwards Challenges Biological Brother Sunny Edwards to a Fight

The former WBC World Flyweight champion Charlie Edwards recently called out his brother and the current IBF World Flyweight champion Sunny Edwards. In a video, while congratulating his younger brother for signing with Eddie Hearn and the Matchroom Sport, he proposed “Edwards vs. Edwards“. According to Charlie Edwards, now that Sunny Edwards is with Hearn and the Matchroom Sport, the latter will receive opportunities to “get the biggest flyweight fights in the division“.

While Charlie Edwards wholeheartedly looked forward to his brother unifying the Flyweight belts and even becoming an undisputed champion in boxing, he also suggested the idea of fighting him. According to Charlie, he himself is the “real big fight” that ‘Showtime’ can face in the ring.

While Sunny Edwards is undefeated, Charlie Edwards has only one loss in the professional ring. When he called out his own brother, it was shocking to several fans in the community of boxing. At the beginning of the video that Charlie Edwards posted, he congratulated his brother for signing with Hearn and thus assuring more exposure in boxing. “Go out there, unify it, [be] undisputed bro. But, when you’re ready to get the real big fight, get on the phone Eddie [and] give me a call. Edwards vs. Edwards“, in a twist Charlie added in the brief clip. After Michael Benson shared the brief clip, several people reacted to it.

According to user @RickRamosBoxing, this is “Weird”. “I’m not with this,” they added by saying.
