The boxing fraternity eagerly awaits the third meeting between WBC heavyweight champ, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder. This matchup abruptly came to fruition because Fury was in contention to face his compatriot, Anthony Joshua. However, Wilder’s powerful urge to battle out his rival, fortunately, helped him land up a fight.
Earlier, this contest was supposed to take place on July 24. But the Brit and a few members of his team tested positive for Covid-19 and this bout got pushed to October 9 instead.

Wilder is keen on entering this trilogy and he was completely disheartened when this bout got postponed. Recently, his trainer Malik Scott shed some light on the entire scenario and talked about where he wants Wilder to go after this fight.

As per Michael Benson, he said, “It’s a great thing. I said Fury wasn’t making it out of five rounds before. But now, since we have more time, it’s really about to get ugly… I’m not leaving camp until Wilder is two-time heavyweight champion.”

Wilder and Fury last met each other in February 2020. In this fight, nothing went right for ‘The Bronze Bomber’. Right from the first bell, ‘The Gypsy King’ took up an offensive approach, and he only moved ahead with his shots.
Fury kept hammering Wilder, and he even dropped the Alabama native multiple times in this fight. As a result, his skill sets seemed too much to handle for Wilder and finally, in round 7, the Brit concluded this fight with a vicious T/KO.

Ever since then, Wilder has been assertive on a trilogy and now he’s finally in for the same.

Also, now that this fight has got postponed, Wilder still has a lot of time to polish up his primal boxing skill in order to be ready for October 9.
