Jake Paul Stabbed in the Back After Showing Years of Blind Loyalty To Oleksandr Usyk

Jake Paul might have been kind overall toward Oleksandr Usyk, but the latter seems like he is not a huge fan of the influencer-turned-boxer. In the last few years, whenever Paul has been asked his opinion of the Ukrainian heavyweight, he has only had kind words to say about Usyk. However, when Usyk was asked to describe Paul in just one word, he had nothing but brutality to relay.
37-year-old Usyk at the moment remains busy and in the last leg of his camp for the historic undisputed heavyweight clash, he has lined up with Tyson Fury. In one of his promotional efforts, he sat with DAZN for a heart-to-heart. On it, in a fun segment, ‘The Cat’ was asked to describe each fighter that would be thrown at him in just one word. When ‘The Problem Child’ was mentioned, he had advice, more like a jab.
“Stop boxing,” remarked Usyk when he was asked to give a word to describe Jake Paul. While it seemed personal on the surface, it felt like the unified heavyweight champion was not a fan of unconventional boxing trajectories, a leader of which is Paul. When KSI’s name was also thrown in the segment, Usyk quipped, “Blogger.” Here is the excerpt from his talk with the PPV partner.

The unkind words toward Paul might have raised some eyebrows. Here are some instances when the Problem Child sided with Usyk.
Jake Paul stood strong with Oleksandr Usyk
In the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Usyk left his growing boxing career behind and landed in his war-torn home country. A few months later, he returned to the ring. However, it was not in any iconic boxing location. He fought in Poland, very close to Ukraine, and dedicated the fight to his country.
Paul in awe of the move, wrote on his X, “So much respect for Usyk for putting this fight on as close as possible to Ukraine. Equally much respect for Dubois taking on the challenge of Usyk +40,000 fans. Can’t wait.”

Jake Paul was also present at the venue. When asked about his take on the fight, he told Seconds Out back then, “A lot of heart from Usyk. You know? Coming up and getting up after that and just coming back strong. He’s a legend man and this is just such a historic night to be here in this atmosphere, doing it for his country. It’s absolutely amazing.”

Prior to this, when Usyk fought against Anthony Joshua in their maiden fight in September of 2021, the world including Paul was impressed by Usyk’s performance. On X, he wrote, “…wow…what a performance by Usyk to beat Joshua.”
