Holding the WBC heavyweight title for almost four years is no small feat. But, in the Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury’s book, it does not come off as a surprise due to his sheer skills and strength as a fighter. These reasons are why, when someone drops Fury, it is worthy of hitting the first spot on the trending list.

According to rumors circulating around, Jai Opetaia did just that. He allegedly dropped the heavyweight champion during their first sparring session and was apparently kicked out of the camp because of this. But the credibility of these rumors is questionable. However, a fellow fighter has finally come out and given his opinion on the matter. Joseph Parker, while talking to Boxing King Media a few days ago, talked about many events and future fights. Let us see what he had to say about Opetaia allegedly dropping Fury.

Parker, on being asked if Fury getting dropped in sparring really matters or not, replied, “Sparring is sparring yeah, but a lot of people will make up stories.” According to Parker, no one really knows what happened except Fury’s team and Opetaia himself.

On asking a reason as to why Opetaia left camp, Parker, who is currently preparing for his fight against Zhilei Zhang, said, “I think he flew back home cause he’s got sparring that he wanted to do back home and um Tyson is sparring who he’s sparring.”
