As a child, Taylor, who was intrigued by the sport of boxing, wasn’t really aware of who Ken Buchanan was. However, he met the legend in his teenage boxing days, wherein Buchanan shared some extensive boxing lessons with him.
Buchanan debuted in the sport in 1965. He fought many battles in his boxing stint and proved his mettle to one and all. The Edinburgh native, who put Scotland on the boxing map, inspired budding boxers like Josh Taylor and more.
With a string of losses at the end, Buchanan retired with a pro-boxing track record of 61-8. Despite going out on the losing spectrum, Buchanan still etched his name in the rich boxing history.
