The Welterweight boxing division has become more active in the past few months, as there are many great potential fights being lined up for the upcoming months. Well currently boxing fans are looking forward to one of the biggest Welterweight bouts in boxing history, Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. But that’s not it, even the former boxing champion, Adrien Broner is coming off a great win against Bill Hutchinson, and is looking forward to bigger fights. While, another renowned young boxer, Teofimo Lopez has just renounced his WBO Junior Welterweight title. Teofimo Lopez announced his retirement after winning unanimously against Josh Taylor but it seems like ‘Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya wants to bring him back.

Although he has relinquished his WBO title, Francisco Valcarcel, the WBO president, has made it clear that the doors will always be open for Lopez if he ever wants to come back. But Lopez may also be looking towards his retirement from the sport in the coming future as well. Nonetheless, Broner and Lopez would make a great pair for the potential next fight against each other. Even Oscar De La Hoya thinks in the same direction, as in his recent tweet, he’s revealed talking to Bob Arum and Frank Warren about the fight between Broner and Lopez.

Well, the fans are a bit skeptical after looking at the prospect of this bout, especially after the Brooklyn born fighter handed over his Welterweight title post the Taylor fight.

One of the fans, Cameron McCamey, believes that Lopez is currently going through a rough patch in his life, as he has just vaccinated his belt. So, the user has requested De La Hoya to leave him alone for some time.

Another fan, Danny Zelaya, stated that he thought Lopez would be taking nine months off, then asked whether he is ready to come for one more bout?

One fan, King TJ, vouched for another great fight between Adrien Broner and Ryan Garcia.

Now, Dash Iljazi put out a prediction for this fight and sided with Teofimo Lopez for the win against Broner.
