

Lou DiBella is back to his content and joyful self. The International Hall of Fame Inductee took to Twitter and wished a holiday season full of happiness and tranquillity. He especially wanted to relay his message of appreciation and love to everyone who has been through trying times. Lou, whose mother, Ann, finally made it back successfully from surgery to remove a tumor, couldn’t help but share his happiness and joy with everyone. But, more significantly, the doting son of his mother wanted to reach out, particularly to those who grinned and bore through teething problems.
Amidst emotional posts, Lou DiBella expresses gratitude and Christmas wishes
The founder and President of DiBella Entertainment post tweeted his wishes to everyone for a warm and Merry Christmas. Additionally, he tagged his mother’s pic and a special message from her thanking everyone who prayed for her and supported the family throughout the ordeal. “Your prayers and healing thoughts meant everything. Know that I love you all and wish you the happiest holidays,” he said.

Two weeks ago the sixty-two years boxing promoter shared the details of his mother on the road to recovery. Finally, the doctors were able to treat her cancer. Reaching out to fans, he wanted to express his gratitude to everyone for wishing his mother’s speedy return to health.

A day before, he had shared one more tweet about his wonderful mother. Ann DiBella celebrated her eighty-ninth birthday. Her son Lou wanted to tell the world how blessed he was to have her as his mother. He described her as “the most kind and understanding person”. And he also shared that she continues to live in the home she built with his father. Finally, he said his mother is multifaceted and takes pleasure in driving, poetry, and book publishing.
By the end of the message, he added that the doctors and medical staff were quite upbeat about the success of the surgery. But Lou and his family were still worried and tensed about the outcome.
From boxing promotion and team ownership to movie production and acting
Lou DiBella served as the Senior Vice President of HBO Sports for eleven years. He was responsible for making the matches for the ‘World Championship Boxing’ series and being the creator of the ‘Boxing After Dark’ series.
He established DiBella Entertainment in 2000, following his departure from HBO Sports. In 2003, he founded a monthly boxing series called ‘Broadway Boxing’.

Next, he ventured into movie production and documentaries. He was the assistant producer of the 2010 movie ‘The Fighter’ starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg. It went on to win two Academy Awards – Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. But, much before, he enacted a role, playing himself in the 2006 release ‘Rocky Balboa.’

Lou DiBella currently serves as the President and Managing General Partner of the Minor league Baseball team Richmond Flying Squirrels. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Owner of another Minor League Baseball team, Montgomery Biscuits.
