The Heydays of Mike Tyson were more about his strings of controversies. He was often on the cover page of daily magazines and newspapers for the outside-ring incidents. Interestingly, there are many unknown stories around Tyson that probably Tyson himself could not recall. However, his friends of that time often share them.

Recently, a video of Tyson’s friend, Joe, surfaced on social media. He shared a crazy incident about Tyson when the latter just came out of prison. According to Joe, one day he and his friend Pun were resting at the tunnel (New York Nightclub) when security bouncers interrupted them with a threatening order.

They asked them to leave and were being heavy-handed with them. Surprisingly out of nowhere, Tyson popped up at 2:30 in the morning as a savior.

“We hear this voice go ‘yo Pun yo Joe’ Let’s f*k these dudes up!’ I got your back! We turn around. It’s Iron Mike Tyson. That’s your dream 2:30 in the morning. Fresh out of jail with the Kufi on. So he starts now everybody’s looking like oh my god! It’s Iron Mike. And Mike Tyson started chasing the bouncer around the car like 20 times, “ Joe shared.

Notably, when ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ was released from jail, he was a totally different man. His physique had improved tremendously, and he had transformed into a more ruthless version of himself.

Why did Mike Tyson go to jail?

‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ faced severe charges of rape in 1991 and eventually got arrested. Later, in 1992, after his conviction, the court sentenced him to six years of imprisonment.

Desiree Washington, the well-known figure of that time, accused Tyson of allegedly raping her at an Indianapolis hotel. However, Tyson denied it and claimed that the sex was consensual.

However, he could not prove it in court, as Washington’s physical condition was consistent with rape.

Tyson came out of jail in less than three years.
