Mike Tyson Reveals Hidden Motive Behind His Generous Deeds

Mike Tyson has mostly been perceived as a vicious boxer, who seemed focused on just demolishing his opponents inside the ring. Well, Tyson was a violent man in and out. During the peak years of his career, he held the moniker of being ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ and terrorized the heavyweight division with his highlight-reel knockouts. All of it came along with immense fame, stardom, and financial glittery.

Coming from a troubled childhood and dirt poverty, Tyson became a global superstar at a very early age. Having seen so much, ‘Iron’ Mike doesn’t know what it likes to be self-less. In an emotional chat on his HotBoxin’ podcast, Mike Tyson billed himself as selfish and recalled how his life has been so far.

Mike Tyson said, “I have always been selfish. Anytime I did something for somebody, it was only for myself. I was getting something down the road from it. I never knew the power of just being kind and giving. You know I had only used it for my, I knew I used it only for myself and aggrandizement.”

“I never really knew that. And I don’t want anything back. Never experienced that and that was powerful and aggrandizement.”

“Oh absolutely, I am so selfish and I never knew what it’s like to be selfless.”

Tyson has lived an extremely extravagant life at one point. He blew up all his money in 2003. All this lead up to massive turmoils in his life for which Tyson had to take two more fights just to resolve his financial complications. However, he showed massive changes in personal traits later in his life.

Mike Tyson has been a charitable person

Tyson had claimed to give away his Rolls Royce to law enforcement officials in the past so that he could avoid being into a legal problem. Meanwhile, Tyson has been a charitable person in his dotage. The former heavyweight world champion returned to boxing action in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr.

According to reports, Tyson donated a major portion of the payment to charitable funds. Therefore, 55-year-old Tyson is not all about himself now. He appears to be a philanthropist who doesn’t shy away from advising the modern-era fighters on how to deal with success.
