Mike Tyson has always been a fan of Gervonta Davis, who has received a lot of praise for his in-ring skills from the legendary boxer. Moreover, Davis has been receiving a lot of comparisons with Tyson himself for their similar fighting styles.

With both of them having the knockout power to end fights in the blink of an eye, Davis continued to prove why the praise is warranted.

Gervonta Davis is set to face Rolando Romero on May 28 at the Barclays Center in New York. Moreover, both fighters will put their unbeaten records on the line with the WBA World Lightweight Title up for grabs.

Tyson Predicts Gervonta Davis vs Rolando Romero
Tyson took to his Instagram and posted a video on the platform, making his predictions for the fight. He had this to say about the fight.

“I think Rolly has a lot of heart. he’s though, but this guy Gervonta Davis, he’s all around you know, he’s built like a bruiser, slugger, a master boxer too you know. He’s so versatile in his style of boxing he’s gonna be almost impossible to beat. I’m not saying he is but it’s gonna seem that way”.
He then had this to add.”It’s gonna be a good fighter to be able to beat him, a smart and tough. I don’t see Rolly doing that.”

Tyson believes that Davis is easily going to beat Romero in their upcoming fight; Davis is the betting favorite coming in with a record of 26-0 with 24 KOs. Although Romero is coming in as an underdog he also has an unbeaten record of 14-0 with 12 KOs, but Tyson feels the hard-hitting young star will have the edge over his competition.

A win for Davis seems to be the consensus among the fighter and analysts, and at just only 27 years old Davis is certainly on the path to becoming an all-time great.

The two fighters also seem to have an ongoing beef with the drama surrounding the departure of Davis from Mayweather promotions so it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the fight.
