The prospective welterweight war between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford constantly makes it to the news headlines. But, certainly fails to make it to the squared circle. None of the fights in the welterweight landscape are as important as a bout between these two and boxing enthusiasts are keen to see them collide at least once and settle it for all.
However, the fight has made no progress in terms of contracts, individual purses, and more. Recently, the Top Rank CEO Bob Arum was in a conversation with iFL TV. Here, he gave his take on why this fight isn’t reaching terms and ultimately the ring.
Arum said, “I think somehow Spence is intimidated by Crawford and doesn’t wanna step in the ring with him because if he was confident, why the hell wouldn’t he fight him?”

Arum affirmed that Spence Jr.’s manager, Al Haymon, and his Top Rank promotions are ecstatic to roll out this fight for the fans. But, the only reason he feels why it isn’t happening is Errol Spence Jr.
He continued, “This is the biggest fight in the welterweight division, and like we’ve done before, Haymon’s side could represent Spence and Top Rank Crawford and the fight would happen. The only reason it’s not happening is the reluctance of Errol Spence.”
