Before becoming the current WBA world super lightweight title holder, Rolando Romero squared off against Gervonta Davis with the latter’s WBA title on the line. Despite being the shorter fighter, Davis exposed Romero, and in the 6th round of the fight, he dropped him to win the bout via a technical knockout. A year later, Romero has now fought Ismael Barroso in his latest fight.
Romero, who was 13 years younger, won the mentioned fight via a TKO in the 9th round. Following the end of the bout, Romero, who wants a rematch with Gervonta Davis, made a bold statement.
