UFC President Dana White would have never imagined his New Year’s eve would go this way. He and his wife Anne White went to Cabo San Lucas nightclub with their friends to celebrate the upcoming New Year but shortly after clock stroke 12:00 welcoming a New Year, the duo indulged in a physical exchange that was caught on the mobile camera.
The infamous incident took no time in getting viral. It circulated on the internet like wildfire and drew netizens’ remarks. According to White, it was alcoholic intoxication that fueled the embarrassing drama. He felt sorry for instigating such disrespectful behavior. But he would be surprised to know that there are people who defended his disgusting act. According to them, White’s retaliation for his wife’s slap was justifiable.
Claressa Shields, the pound-for-pound dynamo in female boxing, who currently held WBC and IBF super middleweight titles came in White’s support. Defending the UFC boss, she wrote, “Dang Dana White got caught on camera by an android slapping his wife back… yes she slapped him first. Crazy 2023 already.”

Following the incident, TMZ Sport talked to White, who came up with a reasonable response. He did not try to defend himself. Instead, he admitted his mistake, and said, “You’ve heard me say for years. There’s never ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman and now here I am on TMZ talking about it.”

Furthermore, he added that he and his wife have apologized to each other. Clarifying that everything is fine between them, he stated that the biggest concern is his 3 kids.
Notably, it all started with his wife’s slap. She was the first who lost control and made the exchange physical. Nobody knows what actually happened prior to that. According to the video, White leans towards Anne and says something, after which, an infuriated Anne came up with a slap. In the heat of the moment, White paid no attention to his surroundings and slapped her immediately. Within a fraction of a second, the course of the celebration changed.
