

Gun crime has been spiraling out of control in parts of the USA. More recently, gun violence claimed the life of a boxing trainer, Azuma Bennett. Meanwhile, Marvel actor Frank Grillo opened up about his thoughts on the tragic incident.

Bennett was a trainer at the Fortune Gym in Los Angeles. And, he had moved to LA from Australia 3 years prior. Moreover, he also trained celebrity clientele like Grillo, UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller, and singers Kiana Ledé and Eddie Benjamin.
According to police reports, someone fatally shot him outside a legal mar*j*ana dispensary in Windsor Hills on August 12, 2022. It was also reported that he was shot around 8 times and was pronounced dead on arrival. However, the attacker is yet to be identified, and the motive is unknown.
It was also stated that he was set to travel to Australia to meet his mother the following week.
In an interview, Grillo paid his respects to Bennett while also bashing the gun crime in LA. He said, “He made everybody feel good about training. I don’t know what’s happened to Los Angeles that a beautiful guy like this gets shot and killed over nothing.”
Notably, Grillo is known for playing Crossbones in The Avengers and Captain America films. Additionally, the founders of Fortune Gym also started a GoFundMe campaign to send his body home to his family in Australia.
Tyson Fury loses his cousin to a knife crime
It is worth mentioning that the instances of violent crime have increased worldwide. While the United States struggles in the clutches of gun crime, some parts of the UK, on the other hand, has seen knife crimes gradually increasing. In fact, two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently lost his cousin to a knife attack.

According to reports, Fury’s cousin Rico Burton was one of the two victims of a knife attack in Manchester. Burton lost his life, while the other victim is currently in hospital after suffering serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Fury took to social media to call for action. He said, “My cousin was murdered last night, stabbed in the neck, this is becoming ridiculous idiots carry knives. This needs to stop.”

Moreover, he also urged the government of the UK to impose serious penalties on the occasion of knife attacks.
