Logan Paul met fellow YouTuber KSI at the Manchester Arena on 25th August 2018. It was for an amateur boxing match the duo had signed up for. Though it ended in a draw, they met again—this time at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. However, unlike the previous edition, it was a professional fight with six rounds. But this time, KSI had the upper hand and won the match by a split decision.

Theirs was a rivalry stamped inside the squared circle. Soon, however, they decided to swap it for a partnership beneficial to each other. Paul and KSI jointly announced the launch of their new beverage brand, Prime Hydration, on 4th January 2022 through Instagram. The sports drink comes in various flavors and is mainly sold through online outlets like eBay. Now, as they celebrate the first anniversary of their joint venture, it proverbially energized and invoked the entrepreneurial skills of a youngster who took the most offbeat path to make some money.

Logan Paul and KSI’s partnership and a ten-year-old’s impressive skills

With over 2 million monthly visitors, JOE (JOE.ie and JOE.co.uk) is a social media publisher catering to younger people across Ireland and the United Kingdom. Through its Instagram handle @joe_co_uk, the publisher spoke at length about Charlie Smith.

A ten-year-boy, Charlie Smith, stood in long lines outside Asda stores last month to try out the Prime Hydration drink. So naturally, he kept the used bottles. However, he saw a chance to make more cash by selling the bottles for more than their initial worth.

Smith’s first transaction, made through his mother’s eBay account, was for £12. An unopened, full Prime bottle is priced somewhere around £1.99 at various stores. The ten-year-old had sold 5.

The entire piece rubbed many on the wrong side. Brushing aside the youngster’s enterprising verve, most denounced the step.

Was that even required? – Fans ask

Per @cockney_kev, there was nothing wrong in making some cash by fooling others.

@johnbarker3856 couldn’t help but find a correlation between the disarray prevailing across the nation and the ‘sale of empty bottles.

@callumdugdale_ took potshots at the publishers who shared the news.

@emmalouise26010, following @callumdugdale_’s example, criticized posting such pieces. They even compared Charlie Smith with the character Augustus Gloop from Roald Dahl’s Chocolate Factory Universe.

@foldy619, while questioning the current price of the product, lamented, “…who in the f*ck wants to buy emtpy bottles?”

The intention of the publishers @joe_co_uk could have been bona fide. To share a positive story about a young boy. However, the challenging economic realities of the day must have caused so many to voice out such open disapproval.
