How often do we see fighters get into the sea to swim with whales? A video of Florian Marku, the Albanian boxer and MMA artist has taken over Instagram in which he can be seen jumping into the sea to join whales and swim with them. Marku has a record of 13-0 of which 8 fights ended with a knockout. He debuted in 2018 against Nikola Janicijevic, whom he took down with a technical knockout.

Fans do not seem very impressed by the welterweight champion as he dives into the sea to swim inches away from whales. How are the fans reacting to this supposed act of bravery?

Fans are more used to seeing fighters bantering and lashing out at their opponents on video. The video, which was a fresh diversion from the traditional aggressive angle, was posted by boxingkingmedia on Instagram, which lauded this act of the boxer calling him a fearless boxing star. The video clarified that whales have similar intelligence to that of humans and hence, do not perceive them as dangerous or attack them. Fans, however, had a different take.

“That’s not brave it’s just foolish,” called out one fan raising safety concerns.

“Thats how you get ate big dawg,” remarked another indicating that such behavior might turn him into lunch for the giant creatures.

“They’ve been known to drag humans down and drown them,” said a worried fan, as sometimes the animals are known to drown humans by dragging them into the depths of the sea.

“Tell him to swim alongside sharks,” responded another fan sarcastically, who wanted the danger level to be elevated by adding sharks to the picture.

“Orkas don’t attack humans in the wild,” one fan came to the kickboxer’s defense, reminding the others that orcas are not threatening to humans.

“All these comments yet not 1 of youse would jump in and not 1 of youse would beat or even dare to say anything to the ‘49th ranked boxer in the world,” said another fan blasting the rest for mocking Marku by calling him the ’49th ranked in the world’. If they did not have what it takes to get into a sea full of creatures triple one’s size, they should not be commenting on Marku doing the same.
