Despite his defeat, Paul was proud to face an opponent like Fury for his seventh bout. He deems it laudable as Fury has been boxing for the majority of his life while Paul turned professional only back in 2020. Considering the disparity in experience, Paul still managed to weather the storm and was handed a split decision defeat. Reflecting on the same, he stated, “Going up against Tommy Fury who has been doing it since he was six years old, taking him to a split decision.”

Paul weighs in on his only defeat

I was like drinking like seven weeks before,” In addition, he also blamed his pomposity as the reason for his downfall. He stated, “You think like okay…Like no one’s really beat me or like giving me a crazy challenge.”
