‘They Say Never Meet Your Heroes…’: Tyson Fury Breaks Silence After Sylvester Stallone Interaction

Tyson Fury, the undefeated boxing phenomenon, will certainly go down in history as one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time. He is a two-time heavyweight champion, who currently held the WBC title. His boxing resume includes the opponents who were considered best before meeting him in the ring.

But is he the greatest heavyweight champion of all time? A huge query, it’s debatable because legends like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson are standing tall in the Hall of Fame. But for acting legend Sylvester Stallone, he is.

The duo appeared together on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show, where Fury talked about his upcoming book ‘Gloves Off’. While having words, Stallone gave a very big compliment to ‘The Gypsy King’. He referred to Fury as the greatest heavyweight who ever lived.

After interacting with Stallone, overwhelmed Fury took to Twitter and wrote, They say never meet your heroes… Thank you for the words @TheSlyStallone a moment I’ll always cherish Rocky.”

He also shared the clip in which Stallone showered words of admiration on him.

What did Sylvester Stallone say about Tyson Fury?

The actor had some great words for the boxer. “I really think and I mean, let’s face it, I think you’re the greatest heavyweight that ever lived and I’m a boxing historian. I study this closely. When you put together all your skills, plus your heart and your ability to recuperate and your…how you can move around so well at your size. There’s no one that could’ve beaten you in any era. It’s totally true,” Stallone said.

Fury took it well. He smiled and thanked the legend for the validation.

Following this, the host of the show Jonathan suggested Fury recall Stallone’s words whenever steps inside the ring.

Before earning validation from Stallone, Fury talked about his book ‘Gloves Off’. This is his third book in the last four-five years. He believes it is well written in comparison to his previous books. He is still on it and will complete it sooner.

According to Fury, the book reveals a true story of his life. It mainly focuses on the ups and downs that made Fury’s life a rollercoaster.
