Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul will trade blows for the second time in less than 4 months. Having beaten Woodley via decision the first time, Paul will challenge the former UFC welterweight champion yet again in an 8-round cruiserweight contest on December 18 in Florida. While fans are excited about the rematch, it will excite them to know that there might be more of Paul vs Woodley in the future.

A few weeks back, the rematch was nowhere relevant and Jake Paul was aligned to face Tommy Fury on the scheduled date. However, as Tommy Fury withdrew, Tyron Woodley replaced him. If he wins, they will be tied at 1-1 and a trilogy could be on the cards.

When asked about the possible trilogy, Tyron Woodley told TMZ, “Yeah, this fight right here doesn’t excite me more than any other fight right now. Right now I am still at a point where I feel like at the tail end of you know my UFC career because I am still doing mixed martial arts.”

Is Deontay Wilder Retiring?

“My UFC career, the thing that was lacking wasn’t could I do it anymore, wasn’t the preparation, wasn’t was I out of shape, fighters were never better than me…So if this fight (Jake Paul) really gets me up, and is really promoted the right way, then I feel like of course, why will I go and fight somebody else?”

T-Wood added, “Yes, it is contracted. There’s a rematch clause in there and I’mma put that on him.”

Tyron Woodley has always been after Jake Paul

Woodley had been vocal about bagging the rematch against Jake Paul since the original fight happened. Tyron Woodley came extremely close to knocking out Paul in round four. However, the ex-UFC star checked his shots, which allowed ‘The Problem Child’ to gather himself and survive until the final bell.

Tyron Woodley didn’t agree with the decision and instantly demanded a rematch. However, ‘The Problem Child’ didn’t give him the chance straight away. After demanding that Woodley get an ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo, Paul went ahead to seal a clash with Tommy Fury.

In a gap of just months, it will be interesting to see how the rematch seems different from the first fight. Although both men have claimed that they will offer better versions of themselves, it’s still hard to picture something very different from what we saw in August.
