Fury stated, “This is a reconfirmation of what I’ve said about fighting Anthony Joshua for f*** all in England. That’s how the fight happens. I’ll sign the contract today. The fight’s got to be for free, free-to-air television and all tickets go for free. No money is to be made out of this British historic fight if it happens. There’s the terms, I’m in the driving seat, take it or f-ing leave it. The ball is in your court, guys, take it or leave it, either way, I don’t give a damn, there’s the offer, peace out.”

Apparently, Fury first said in an interview that he wants $500 million to make a comeback to the boxing ring. After a few days, he stated that he would return for free to fight Anthony Joshua, but only if the fight happens in England. Now he has reconfirmed it and wants his demands met to make this historic battle happen.

Eddie Hearn brands Tyson Fury as a genius

Fury took retirement from boxing in April 2022 as he defeated Dillian Whyte at the Wembley Stadium in London. It was the last fight of his professional career, and he was basking in the glory of his success in front of 94,000 fans. The entire world is in awe of what the fighter has achieved, but Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn has a special word for him.

The promoter told DAZN Boxing, “He’s a genius, Tyson Fury, because no one ever really questions what he says. He’s just said you’ve gotta pay him $500 million to come out of retirement. And in the next sentence, he says he’ll fight Anthony Joshua for free on non-PPV.”
