Tyson Fury Hits Back at Anthony Joshua’s Old Tweet on His Fat Physique

Not a lot of heavyweights possess the ability to connect with a tremendous fan base on a personal level. However, Tyson Fury is one of those few greats who connects with millions of fans just by being himself. Fury has a great story, wherein he rose from extreme depression to become the heavyweight champion of the world again.
That said, boxing lovers are well in sync with Fury’s story and therefore they resonate with him.
Recently, ‘The Gypsy King’ rolled out a fiery yet inspiring message for his fans on Twitter. With this tweet, he even aimed at his compatriot, and former unified heavyweight champ, Anthony Joshua.

Fury retweeted BT Sport Boxing’s collage, wherein they put the Briton’s pic from 2017 – when he was completely out of shape. Joshua had tweeted, “Get fit you fat f***”

After ‘The Gypsy King’ defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, many expected him to keep an active stint. However, no one knew what Fury was going through in his mind. Consequently, after this fight, he stayed out of the game for a whopping three years.
In his time away, Fury gained a lot of weight. Fortunately, his terrible phase didn’t last, and he returned in 2018.

Tyson Fury appeared under the big lights in 2018, and since then, his career only escalated. ‘The Gypsy King’ took on his biggest career fight against Deontay Wilder in the same year; it ended with a draw.
In 2020, ‘The Gypsy King’ again challenged Wilder for his WBC title. He demolished ‘The Bronze Bomber’ via a T/KO in round 7 to cement his legacy as the champ.
