Mike Tyson, along with his guests on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, gives talks on a variety of topics. They discuss careers, inspirations, life circumstances, love, and money. Often, during the podcast, Mike Tyson comes out of character as he voices his individual thought.

In one such episode on his podcast, accompanied by Israel Adesanya, Kid Dynamite discussed the ‘fighter pay’ of the UFC. When the guest, Adesanya, made a comment on Ngannou’s payment as per the Gane fight, Mike Tyson made a bold claim.

“Listen, that’d ($600k) be my training expenses. That’s my training expenses. People would pay me to do commercials and stuff and I would make sure they paid me in advance, but I might not show up or something,” Tyson said.

However, the UFC fans seem to have taken the comment to their sentiments, as they have reacted somewhat bitterly.

A user named Paul Stephenson commented, “Nonsense, mma training camps are completely different with much more fighters in the same gym. Mike’s probably spent 600k on coke during his camps.

As implied, he was most probably hinting toward the idea that Tyson was possibly ‘high’ when he delivered such a statement.

Another user named Ross Solomons wrote, “Because everyone around took advantage of him, that’s why.”

Very assertively, Solomons looks to suggest that Tyson almost didn’t know math. And so, as a result, people around him took great advantage.

On the other hand, Neil Edwards wrote something very similar to Stephenson, but his analysis was even more detailed. He wrote, “Tyson’s training expenses consisted mainly of coke and h**kers. $600k wouldn’t have gone far!” Quite a comment full of weight does he throw at Tyson.

Tyson, Fans, and the burn continues

While one group made deliberate moves toward Tyson’s record of substance abuse, the other talked about his financial crisis.

Lee Ferguson wrote, “That’s why Mike went bankrupt.” One liner with so much exuberance!

However outlandish, Sebastian Guido Ponce commented, “If Don King was still his manager, 600k would barely cover towels.” A bit of humor tinged with a little bit of fact. It is indeed approbative the way these people got their way back to Tyson.

The only entity who showed somewhat of some sympathy was Ching Chieh Wang. He mentioned, “Ngannou’s training team wasn’t as dirty as Mike’s previous management, which took most of his money.”
