The ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis has caused a massive violation of human rights. Among others, the cessation of three TV channels marked the violation of the freedom of expression in Ukraine. At this, while thousands lose their lives and shelter, former Ukrainian boxer and heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko takes to the place of the privileged, LinkedIn, and along with a well-dressed photo of him, shares “inspiring” thoughts with his followers and fans.

Klitschko’s LinkedIn bio bears the titles of one “best-selling author” and a “lecturer”. Maintaining the status quo of both a best-selling author and a lecturer, Dr. Wladimir Klitschko with eloquence penned, “The secret of resilience is not to be overwhelmed by negative thoughts. The first battlefield is the mind.”

Klitschko’s stance is unclear, but for one, being the “challenge-master” he is, and two, the better reach of his post, he added, “#FaceTheChallenge #WeAreAllUkrainians #StopTheWar.”

As far as Klitschko‘s words are concerned, the former WBA, IBF, WBO, and Ring Magazine title holder does not seem to appreciate the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine. However, Wladimir Klitschko’s LinkedIn post seeks attention not entirely for the liberation of minds and the restoration of peace.

Amidst the crisis that has witnessed an irreplaceable loss, a LinkedIn post containing an eloquent message in a well-dressed photo speaks of privilege and access to education that merits public attention for the maintenance of a status quo, most vividly, that of a lecturer at a well-known university in Switzerland.

After twenty-one years of active participation in professional boxing, Wladimir Klitschko announced retirement in 2017, having lost to Anthony Joshua in his last bout. At the time of his retirement, he held the record of 64 wins, 5 losses, and 0 draws. An orthodox boxer, Klitschko, went up against some of the best fighters the heavyweight division could offer.
