Watch: Women Celebrates Her 50th Birthday by Taking Boxing Lessons From Floyd Mayweather Sr.

There are several ways to celebrate one’s birthday. Celebrating by training in boxing would not be a common one. Recently, a 50-year-old woman had a training session with Floyd Mayweather Sr on hitting her half-century mark. Upon reaching the age of fifty, one may opt for a restful getaway. However, this woman had different aspirations in her mind.

Not to mention, getting trained by Mayweather Sr. is a whole other ball game. Not only is he a former boxer himself but he also gave birth to one of the most technical boxers the sport has ever since, Floyd Mayweather Jr. By training on her birthday, she disregards the notion of age limiting her aspirations.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. trains a 50-year-old woman

It is evident from the training footage that the woman is a novice. That being said, both Mayweather Sr. and her are focused on learning the sweet science. The video was posted by Mayweather Channel on Youtube with the title stating, “Lady celebrates 50th birthday with a boxing lesson from Floyd Mayweather”

Mayweather appears to be training her in the Mayweather gym and Jeff Mayweather, his brother, is also present to witness a birthday celebration like no other. During the training session, Mayweather teaches her the correct way of throwing a punch. Given her age, she was able to grasp the correct technique and was able to improve.

It is safe to say that if one chooses to celebrate their birthday training in boxing then then the individual would be interested to continue the same. Where will  her boxing training lead to? Only time can tell. For now one can laud her efforts to learn a new sport at her age. However, this was not the only time he trained with another female.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. loses to a female boxer in a friendly match

Mayweather Sr. is outspoken and very competitive. If he loses, he makes sure to release all his emotions. In a video posted on “The Mayweather Channel”, Mayweather Sr. had a friendly competition with Jeff Mayweather and a female boxer named “Elizabeth”. The competition was to check who got “the fastest hands” amongst all 3. And the cameraman asserted that Mayweather Sr. was slower than Elizabeth and Jeff Mayweather which irked Mayweather Sr.

The cameraman stated,

“How do you feel Elizabeth you proved the world you are faster than Floyd Mayweather Sr.” To which, Mayweather Sr. stated, “Don’t you ever in your lifetime.” Although the competition was friendly, Mayweather Sr. made it evident that he is one competitive individual.
