WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was reportedly not at his 100% in the latest scrap against Deontay Wilder, which turned out to be one of the most iconic trilogy clashes of all time. Fury outclassed Wilder with an 11 round stoppage to retain his title and the unbeaten record. Meanwhile, some latest revelations may cite some bizarre favors to his Fury’s side.

Deontay Wilder sparked Fury with two knockdowns in round four of their fight. The devastating shots appeared to be the final nails to the coffin. However, Tyson Fury rose back from the doom and found ways to win the fight.

Post-bout, John Fury connected with BT Sport and shed light on Fury’s medical condition before the Wilder trilogy. He revealed that ‘The Gypsy King’ had to take painkillers to curb his elbow hardships.

“He had to have [cortisone] injections into both elbows. He’s since had an operation, six hours, all day in hospital having them sorted out. He had some bone spurs he had to get removed,” said John Fury (H/T:- Marca)

Per reports, Cortisone shots prevent pain in a specific area of your body. They are mostly injected into joints, and Fury had to take it in his elbows. Well, the substance is not banned, and it was fair of Tyson Fury to use it ahead of the fight.

But many believe that it could have saved him from Wilder’s brutal shots. Deontay Wilder is a one-punch killer and has fed all of his opponents to the canvas. Fury is the only one that rose back from it. Therefore, some people believe that the Cortisone injections could have helped him see lesser pain.

Despite all the new revelations, it will be unfair to doubt Tyson Fury’s supremacy as the heavyweight kingpin. He came across a much better version of Deontay Wilder this time and suffered some adversary. But he didn’t let it hamper his win streak.
