WBA regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is set to face the biggest challenge of his career in Ryan Garcia. The two arch-rivals will finally square up in the ring on April 22 in what is one of the true super-fights in the sport. Both ‘Tank’ and ‘KingRy’ are in the prime of their career athletically and have been building up this fight for over two years.

Now, fans will finally get to see who is the better lightweight among the two and will go on to reach greatness in the sport. Naturally many have come out and given their own pick as to who would win in the fight. This includes Hollywood actor Michael B Jordan who has picked Davis to win. Like him, many others also tout Davis as the favorite to win given his power and experience. However, NFL running back LeSean McCoy thinks that Garcia will win this upcoming fight.

In an interview, McCoy was asked who he would choose in the upcoming matchup. The NFL running back was quick to pick the underdog Ryan Garcia claiming that ‘Tank’ had not faced tough competition like Garcia. He also stated that Davis was too small to match up with Garcia. “Tank is small, small arms & who has tank fought? He hasn’t fought anybody good” he said.

While McCoy has some valid points about ‘Tank’s height, he certainly has faced a good level of competition in his career. Moreover, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe was quick to fire back at the NFL player for his risky take.

Ellerbe also shared the video and had a few pointers for the running back. The Mayweather promotions CEO was not shy to question McCoy’s boxing knowledge and claimed that he did not know anything about the sport to give his takes. “This mf don’t know the first thing about boxing lol.” Ellerbe wrote.

Davis has faced four-weight world champion Leo Santa Cruz who he knocked out in the sixth round. Moreover, he recently beat  featherweight champion Hector Luis Garcia to add to his undefeated record.
