Floyd Mayweather is two weeks away from making his return to the ring. On September 24th, ‘Money May’ will lock horns with Rizin prospect Mikuru Asakura in an exhibition boxing fight. Although Mayweather officially retired from pro boxing in 2017, having defeated the former UFC champion Conor McGregor, he kept returning to the ring. Already, ‘TBE’ has inscribed two exhibitions in his book.

Recently, TalkSport correspondent Michael Benson reported Mayweather to make $15million-$20million for his upcoming fight with Asakura in Japan. Taking to Twitter, Benson wrote, “Floyd Mayweather has said he will make $15million-$20million for his exhibition fight with Mikuru Asakura in Japan this weekend. “It’s cool Nine minutes, $20million, not bad.” [@MailSport]”

‘The Notorious’ himself replied to the abovementioned tweet. According to McGregor, even though Mayweather claimed to have made $100 million fighting Logan Paul, he was not on the Forbes list of the top 100. In addition, the Irish accused the same of not clearing $20 million in one whole year when they fought last time.

McGregor deleted the tweet afterward. However, here is what he wrote: “He also said he made 100m to spar the Logan guy yet never made the Forbes list top 100. He hasn’t cleared 20 million in 1 full year since 2017. When we fought the last time. Otherwise he’d have been on the list. He hasn’t made the list since 2017. In other words he’s full of sh*t.”

According to Mayweather, he made over $1 million just by attending the press conference for the Don Moore fight in May. Although Asakura is in his prime and fifteen years younger than ‘May’, he does not have a strong background in boxing.
